Bedel Financial Consulting, Inc. provides fee-only financial planning. Our firm has been developing client-specific financial solutions since the 1980s and we are currently meeting the challenges of financial issues in the new millennium. The purpose of providing a personalized financial plan is to illustrate, for the client, the most effective use of their financial resources in order to accomplish their short- and long-term goals. Parts of a financial plan may include: retirement planning; investment strategies; education funding; income tax planning; insurance needs analysis; estate planning; charitable planning; gifting; divorce settlement issues; family needs planning; stock options; and other issues unique to a client's situation. An engagement letter is sent to the client after the initial meeting. The engagement letter outlines the financial planning services to be provided along with the fee. Once the client has agreed with and returned the engagement letter, the planning process begins. A written plan and financial projections are presented and modified as necessary. An action list is created that reflects the tasks to be performed to implement the agreed-upon plan. Follow up continues until the plan is implemented. This process may take up to three or four months to complete. The fee for a financial plan is invoiced monthly as the work is completed. |
